Meet Matt

Podiatrist & Founder

Study & Work History

I graduated from the Queensland University of Technology in 2011 and immediately began working in private practice, involving all aspects of podiatry.

In 2015, I moved abroad with the goal of seeing as much of the UK and Europe as possible. During this time, I worked as a locum podiatrist for the NHS across musculoskeletal, general, and wound care clinics – while travelling a ton, as you can imagine!

Upon returning to Australia in 2017, I fell back into private practice in a more musculoskeletal & sports podiatry role. In the quest for life balance, I also started Keen Physique – my personal training business – and worked part-time between both professions.

Keen Podiatry

In 2024, Keen Podiatry was founded to further incorporate my ideologies and passion for helping people after the years of experience I’d gained as a podiatrist and personal trainer. Starting my own podiatry business was an exciting venture to allow me to help people in the best way I can, with methods that I know to be successful.

My number one goal as a health professional is to treat everyone as individuals, and work WITH my patient. Although many people can present with the same diagnosis, one treatment may not work for all. Truly understanding who I get to work with, and providing them with THEIR most successful treatment plan is paramount.

Other Interests

Outside of podiatry and personal training, I aim to enjoy life. As I alluded to earlier, I’m a lover of travel and exploration, and have been to over 20 countries so far.

I’ve also played music since I was a child, and still drum at home and in bands to this day.

Staying healthy is a non-negotiable to me, and I prioritise strength training, handstands (as they’re equal parts fun and challenging) and running. I often ask myself “How do I want to move and feel decades from now”, which influences the way I exercise.
